Pool Side

I'm wearing; Pink dip dye throw on, Accessorise; Aztec beach dress, Topshop

My lovely holiday to Majorca is drawing to a close, so I thought I'd share with you a few different pool side outfits before packing away the beach clothes and preparing to head back home to England. When I'm on holiday I love nothing more than lying by the pool all day in my bikini, and I love having something really casual to throw on over the top, which is why I'm loving both of these bright, loose fitting beach dresses.

The first outfit is a gorgeous orange and pink waist tied dip dye throw on from accessorise, which is so comfortable and I love the bright colours! The second is a drop waist elasticated beach dress from Topshop, which I just had to purchase after falling in love with the amazing aztec pattern!

Leave your lovely comments below and let me know what you're styling by the pool this summer! I'd also love it if you would take a few moments to follow THIS LINK and vote for "Amyelizabethfashion" in the Best New Beauty Blog category.

"Criminally Easy" They're Real Push Up Liner

Morning lovelies! Firstly I would like to say that I am already so overwhelmed with all your support and lovely messages about my shortlisting in the Cosmo Blog Awards! Right now I'm sitting in beautiful Majorca so I am pretty much on cloud nine!

As we have all established, I am a huge fan of Benefit makeup, especially their eye makeup. I have been using the "They're Real" mascara since its launch, and I am yet to find a mascara which even comes close to rivalling it. Therefore, when the much anticipated matching "criminally easy push up eye liner" was launched I could not wait to get my hands on it! Personally, I have never really ever found a liquid or gel style eyeliner that I have enjoyed using, and I always find myself reverting back to a traditional cheap drugstore eyeliner pencil. However, the Benefit eyeliner is completely different from these other gel eyeliners to apply, as it comes equipped with a specially shaped lash hugging rubber nip, which means it is so much easier to keep your hand steady whilst applying the product. The box suggests twisting the eyeliner once before applying along the lash line, however I personally feel like two twists will ensure a more consistent and even application.

The only negative I would state about this product is that it is incredibly quick drying, and although this helps to ensure the product stays put all day and doesn't smudge upon application, it does mean that you need to apply the product incredibly quickly and act fast once you have twisted the liner in order to release the product. I find that if you don't work quickly it becomes much harder to smoothly apply the product to the lash line.

Quick drying aside, the intensity of the black colour is amazing and I can definitely see myself growing to love this product once I have fully got to grips with how much to apply and how quick to work. The eyeliner itself is priced at £18.50 which is quite pricey compared to the £3.99 drugstore pencils you can pick up, but the innovative application technique really is worth the money, and it does seem like the product will last a very long time.

Leave your comments below and let me know what you think of this product if you'd tried it or if you're considering it, and make sure you let me know if you vote for me in the cosmo blog awards!

M.A.C. Pink Nouveau

Hello again! I'm posting from home today after coming back up north for the weekend before heading back to London later today for the last week of my internship! The birds are tweeting, the sky is a beautiful shade of blue and the sun is shinning down so life is good! Plus, I found out that I have achieved a first class honours for my first year of university so right now I am pretty much on cloud nine! Therefore, I felt like I deserved to give myself a little treat, and so headed into Selfridges on Oxford Street on Thursday lunch time and marched straight to the M.A.C. counter to purchase this gorgeous pink lipstick that I have had my eye on for so long!

Ever since I dyed my hair blonde about 15 months ago, I have loved wearing what I would describe as "Barbie pink" lipstick shades, however I have really missed being able to pull off the darker red and purple shades that I could do when I was brunette. Therefore as soon as I laid my eyes on this pink lipstick with its gorgeous purple undertones I just had to buy and try it for myself! The lipstick has a matte finish, leaving your lips looking plumped up and giving a more natural look than the sheen finishes leave. The great thing about this shade is that it works equally well for both day time and night time. It is subtle and complimentary enough to wear as an every day lipstick to university or work, but it is also bold and powerful enough to be pulled off at night time and add those subtle, sultry lavender tones to your evening wear look.

The lipstick is priced at £15.00 like all M.A.C. lipsticks, so although the price tag is slightly higher than many cheaper lipstick alternatives, the lipsticks always last a long time and I truly maintain that the quality of the product is worth it. I'm sure most of you will have used M.A.C lipsticks at some point before, so you will know that they are excellent quality. The lipsticks moisturise your lips leaving them feeling plump, and they have great staying power too, meaning you don't have to spend all day worrying about whether your lipstick is still in place or not.

Some Recent Purchases

Hello lovely followers!! I am so so sorry for my lack of posts throughout June so far, I have been mad busy running around London as an intern! I promise I will try and post more frequently over the next few weeks!

Since I've done quite a few OOTD posts recently, today I thought I'd do something a little bit different and share with you my two most favourite recent purchases! The first are these gorgeous Kurt Geiger sandals that I bought for wearing when I go on my holidays! They come in a number of different colours, and I was debating for quite a while between the yellow colour I eventually chose and a gorgeous coral colour. In the end I picked the yellow because yellow is my absolute favourite colour, and it's not often you get to wear it so I thought these would be the perfect opportunity to add a flash of bright colour to any outfit.

The second recent splurge was on these gorgeous miumiu sunglasses. I've never owned a "proper" pair of sunglasses before, so this was a treat I had been looking forward to for a very long time! At first I was slightly reluctant due to the high price tag, but fate is on my side and it has done nothing but sunshine ever since I bought them so I'm convinced it was truly meant to be!

Please leave your lovely comments below and I will try to reply to all of you! To make my life easier while I'm so busy it would also be great if you could suggest some posts that you want to see over the next week or so and I will try my hardest to get them up for you! Thanks lovelies,

Wow, this week has been a busy one! But a very very exciting and rewarding one too!! Since I last did one of these posts, I've finished all my uni exams (such a relief!!) and relocated myself to London for a month long placement as a Fashion Buyer at the House of Fraser head office! So here I am, one week into placement, extremely tired after leaving my flat at 7.45 every morning and arriving back at 6.45 at night, but having an absolute whale of a time!!

The weather this week has been gorgeous too... in fact as I sit writing this it is still 25 degrees in London! At half seven at night! I'm really hoping this weather lasts for the weekend because I finally have some free time to go and explore London while I'm not working and it'd be just my luck that it decides to rain tomorrow!

Summer Nights

I'm wearing: Crop Top; Missguided; £6.99, Shorts; Nicole for Missguided; £21.99

Is anyone else completely addicted to Missguided at the minute?! I seriously just cannot get enough of their summer clothes! I may or may not have placed two massive orders with them over the past week, and I honestly think that I have enough clothes to last me the whole summer for a fraction of the price of what it would have cost me to buy the same quantity from Topshop! In fact in one order alone I managed to get three tops, two pairs of shorts and a dress all for just under £80!

I love pairing high waisted shorts with crop tops and the beauty of the trend is that you can mix and match all items and actually get double the amount of outfits out of each garment, meaning you most definitely get your monies worth!

Leave you lovely comments below and let me know if you've been doing some summer splurging recently... I'd also love it if you'd follow me on instagram

Kimono and Bralet

I'm wearing; Lace bralet, Missguided £14.99, Kimono, Missguided, £19.99

I've been wanting to jump on the "kimono bandwagon" for a while now, but I've been struggling to find a style that I thought would go with most of my summer clothes and still look lovely slung on over a bikini on the beach. Then I came across this absolutely gorgeous lilac lace kimono from Missguided! The kimono drapes so beautifully, the fabric is light and airy and the colour itself is just a divine shade of pastel purple which is bang on trend for spring/summer.

I own quite a lot of bralets and croptops, as I find high waisted shorts flatter my figure more and low slung styles, and pairing these shorts with a little bralet like the one pictured is the perfect way to flash a little bit of your upper stomach without having to bravely expose your whole stomach.

I've got another huge Missguided parcel arriving today (I went on a little bit of an uncontrollable splurge!!), so expect to see some more ootd posts soon! Please keep leaving your lovely comments below as I love hearing from you and always try to reply to every comment. I'm off to London on Sunday to start my work placement with buying/ merchandising at House of Fraser (beyond excited!), so I apologise in advance if posts become slightly less frequent over this period!
