M.A.C. Lightful Cleanser

Anyone who has ever read my blog will know about me and my 'shaky' relationship with makeup removers. Basically, I am probably the worst beauty blogger in the world when it comes to skin care- taking my clear skin and lack of spots for granted, I often switch around cleaners... on a bad day I will simply use a makeup wipe.... and on a REALLY bad day I will sleep in my makeup and wake up in the morning looking and feeling like a member of the Adaams Family.

However, I am proud to say that I am officially a changed woman! After years and months of trying out and hating most of the make up removers I have come across, I have finally found one that I not only like, but actually look forward to using! I think I'd been making the mistake of going to skin care brands to find my make up removers and cleansers.... Logically, it makes sense, they are companies who's sole purpose is to create products to help clean and care for our skin. However, I feel like these products either never fully took all my make up off, or were aimed at more mature skin, spot prone skin, greasy skin etc. Where was the product for someone like me?!

It was at this point when I have the revelation of looking to a makeup brand. It made sense, but somehow I'd never really thought of it before. When putting M.A.C. BB cream on my face every day, what better way to take it off than with a M.A.C. cleanser, specially designed to remove M.A.C. products. So I took the plunge, splurged £20, and a month down the line I haven't looked back.

The product is incredibly easy to apply, you simply dispense the desired amount onto wet hands, work into a lather and then rub all over your face before washing off. Quick, easy, simple. (i.e. no excuses to not take my make up off anymore!). I can honestly say that for the first time in a long time, my face feels properly clean. I could not recommend this product enough for anyone who like me wants a quick and easy skin care routine that really works!

Leave your lovely comments below and let me know if you've tried this product or what recommendations you have! Also I am currently on the hunt for pretty much a whole new set of make up, as I am becoming incredibly bored with the products I am currently using! Recommendations would be great please!

LFW Designer Show: Marchesa Notte

Continuing on the London Fashion Week trend (sorry that this one is slightly over due, but I wanted to post a few product reviews in between!), today I am going to share with you the designer catwalk show that I attended last Saturday at Sommerset House!

If you have read my previous LFW posts then you will know all about what an amazing time I had on the day! The Marchesa Notte show was my last one of the day, but it was the show I was looking forward to the most, as I was incredibly excited to be a part of the unveiling of the new up and coming talent for the future seasons!

The collection was absolutely divine... every dress was finished to perfection and the iridescent silky and shimmery fabrics just came to life under the lights of the runway. My favourite piece from the show would have to be the stunning fuchsia number! It was such a bright showstopper piece that would be perfect for any really special occasion!

Before you go, I would love it if you'd leave your lovely comments below letting me know what you think of this collection! Don't forget to enter my Lulu Guinness Giveaway HERE, and I'd love it if you'd follow me on bloglovin too!

Nip + Fab Skincare Review*

I have always been intrigued by the brand 'Nip + Fab'- primarily because of the seemingly incredibly exotic/ abnormal names and 'ingredients' of the products. Therefore when I was given the chance to try out the 'Dragon's blood fix plumping serum' and the 'Bee sting fix lifting mask' I absolutely jumped at the opportunity.

The first product I tried was the Dragon's Blood Serum- a product which promises to be a super hydrating, plumping serum with hyaulronic acid and dragons blood. My first observation was how amazingly light and silky the serum felt against my skin, and my cheeks especially looked instantly hydrated, plumped and generally a lot healthier! I used the product at night time, after taking off all my make up and this ensured that I woke up looking so much fresher than I usually do after the first week back at university! After my first experience, I decided to try using the serum in the morning, before putting my make up on. I applied the serum as soon as I woke up, to allow enough time for it to properly sink in before starting my make up. As well as providing the same moisturisation as the night before, after the serum had soaked in my skin almost felt smooth and 'velvetty', meaning that my BB-cream applied and blended like an absolute dream. For me, the serum almost acted as a fantastically moisturising primer!

The second product that I tested was the Bee Sting Lifting Mask. This product is designed to cause a more intense plumping of the skin. The mask combines bee venom (they promise that no harm comes to any bees!), with a 3D express lifting technology to help plump out the skin and smooth any wrinkles. Although being 20, I (thankfully) have not started developing wrinkles yet, I feel like this mask is a sure way to prevent early formation of this problem! The mask made my skin feel tight when applied, but once rinsed off my skin felt firm and plump, yet still incredibly soft! A complete win-win situation in my eyes.

Leave your lovely comments below and let me know if you have ever tried any of the 'Nip + Fab' products and what you thought of them! Also don't forget to check out my last post and enter my giveaway! Finally thank you so so much for getting me to 2000 followers on bloglovin'!

My Day at London Fashion Week

As most of you will know from my latest blog post, or if you're a follower of mine on twitter or instagram, on Saturday I spent the day at London Fashion Week! Today, I thought I would give you a sneak peak into what I got up to in-between shows and how I filled my jam packed day!

5:45 A.M. - Alarm goes off and I reluctantly roll out of bed
6.50 A.M. - Me and Jonny leave the house and drive to Warrington Bank Quay Station
7.20 A.M. - Our train departs for London, and excitement starts to kick in!
9.11 A.M. - Arrive at London Euston, and take the tube to Charing Cross where we walk to Sommerset House
10.00 A.M. The gates open and in we go!
10.15 A.M. - Our first show of the day begins- the M&S preview. (They really have upped their style stakes this year and I have to admit I was incredibly impressed! They even threw some nice male models in the mix too!)
10.45 A.M. - With one show down, and half an hour to kill before the doors opened for show number two, we started to explore the many rooms and tents around Sommerset House, starting with the 'Outnet' shop the runway tent, filled with gorgeous clothes along with a Toni and Guy and Maybelline stand.
11.15 A.M. - Show two: trends. [See previous blog post for an in depth review!]
12.00 A.M. - We ventured into the Canon 360 tent... such an amazing experience! Whilst wearing some impressive head gear, goggles and head phones, you are completely emersed in a 260 degree 'day in the life' experience of a model on the runway at LFW. So bizarre, but so incredible!
12.30 A.M. - Let the shopping begin! Starting in the West Wing, we slowly made our way through all of the ground floor rooms in Sommerset House... only dragging myself away from the Vivienne Westwood stand as it was time to begin queuing for show number three.
1.15 P.M. - Show three- the designer show! [Look out for a blog post about this later in the week!]
2.00 A.M. A final look round the accessories stands, before we gave in to our hunger and left to grab some food!

All in all it was an incredible day and I am loving sharing it with you all, so make sure you keep checking back for further posts later in the week! Leave your lovely comments below as usual and I will reply to every single one :)

LFW Trend Show

Yesterday I was woken up by my alarm at 5.45, was dressed and out the house by 6.50, and walked through the gates of Sommerset House for London Fashion week for 10am. London Fashion Week is without a doubt the biggest event for fashion in the UK, and I had the best time there this weekend! I have so much to share with you and write about that I will be splitting my experience into a number of different blog posts including OOTD's, a dairy style post of what I got up to during the day, and most importantly, some posts on the runway shows that I attended!

This particular show was called the 'Trend Show', and featured the four prominent trends that had been showcased earlier on in the week. The first trend was 'One and Only'- where block colour and neon brights were in full swing, and models donned outfits which were from head to toe made up from one colour palette. The trend is all about being confident in your choice of colour and featured teamed separates in the same shade along with some stunning textured pieces by Roland Mouret.

The second trend was my personal favourite of the show. Entitled 'Candy Crush', the trend was all about soft pastel shades contrasted with structured silhouettes and sharp tailoring. Next, we moved on to 'Jungle Fever' a printed mash-up of exotic fabrics, tribal prints and strong fabrics. Although this trend wasn't to my own personal style tastes, the bold prints and structures make a nice change from the block colours seen in the previous trends.

The fourth and final trend showcased was 'Fairy Tale Ending'- an absolutely gorgeous array of lace and chiffon mixed in with floaty gowns, bold capes and beaded embellishment. If only I had the money to invest in one of these gorgeous pieces for the Cosmo Blog Awards...

Please leave your lovely comments below and let me know what you think of these new trends! Also keep an eye out because one of these posts will feature a giveaway including the Lulu Guinness tote bag filled with all the goodies on offer at fashion week!

Carvellas and Cardigans

I'm wearing; Cardigan, £40, Urban Outfitters; Dress, Missguided; Shoes, £99, Carvella; Watch, New Look [Not currently in stock]

Winter is approaching, and as sad as I am to say goodbye to summer, I am unbelievably excited to get shopping and buy myself a whole new wardrobe full of chunky jumpers and soft knits! A/W is without a doubt my favourite season fashion wise, and I have already been on a few shopping splurges in preparation for those rainy Manchester months!

This cardigan from Urban Outfitters was one of my recent purchases- a perfect transition piece between Summer and Winter as the days get cooler but there is not yet a need for a big winter coat. I was lucky enough to recevie a 20% off Kurt Geiger voucher through the post upon my return from Dubai, and I finally put that to good use the other day and invested in these amazing 'pony skin' textured pumps. I am loving everything gold at the moment, so I have bought out my watch from last year, and love how it matches the gold detailing on the shoes!

Please leave your lovely comments below as usual, as I love reading all of your thoughts and always take the time to respond to every single one! I would also absolutely love it if you would check out my twitter and instagram and follow me on bloglovin!

Bleach London Hair Dye

On Monday I got a bit experimental with Bleach London. Having had extremely dark brown hair for the majority of my life, I was never able to play around with any form of temporary hair dye as absolutely no colour would stand a chance of showing up.

Therefore since dying my hair blonde 18 months ago, I have been so excited to finally experiment! I headed down to Boots and bought three 50ml bottles of different Bleach London hair dyes and came straight back to apply the colour that I was most excited about- Rose! The process was so simple, I just shampooed my hair as usual (do not use conditioner at this point as some conditioners will makes your hair actually repel the dye meaning that the colour intensity will be nowhere near as strong and it will probably fade after one or two washes).

After washing, I towel dried my hair and began to apply the pink dye. (I would definitely advise wearing an old t-shirt to do this in as it may stain what ever you're wearing and if you go topless you will end up dying your chest pink- trust me, I learnt this the hard way)! I let the dye develop for 15 minutes and then rinsed it out with warm water.

So far it has been three days and the colour is still a gorgeous candy floss pink! The bottle advises that the dye will last between 2-10 washes, but since I only tend to wash my hair 1-2 times a week I'm hoping that it will last a really long time! I'll definitely update you on the longevity once the colour has faded!

Leave your lovely comments below as usual and let me know if there's any home dying kits that you would recommend! I'd love it if you'd also follow me on bloglovin and help me reach that 2000 milestone!
